Bhuvan Bam is an actor, singer-songwriter, comedian, and entrepreneur. He began his journey in 2012, as a performer at a restaurant in Delhi and then in 2015, began uploading short comedy sketches to his YouTube channel. He also runs his merchandise brand, Youthiapa which was founded in 2017.  

He was the first Indian YouTuber to get 10 million and 15 million subscribers all by himself. He starred in a short film, Plus Minus which earned him a Filmfare award. In 2020, he was named in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 List. With his unique and entertaining series “Dhindhora” he became the talk of the town when it was released on YouTube. Recently, He created a full-fledged comedy-drama series called “Tara Khabar” released on Hotstar.

Bhuvan is a firm believer in education equality and has even partnered with YouTube to share the importance of Girl Child Education. He is the only creator to be invited to cover the World Economic Forum in Davos. 

2. Amit Bhadana

Amit Bhadana is an Indian comedian, writer, actor, director, and YouTuber, from Delhi, India. He started creating Hindi language comedy videos in 2017 and was the first Indian YouTuber to hit 20 million subscribers

Amit started his YouTube channel in October 2017 after initially uploading videos of his dubbing and mimicry performances on Facebook starting in 2016. However, his breakthrough came in 2017 when he uploaded a comedy video titled “Exam Be Like,” which went viral and garnered millions of views. Since then, Amit Bhadana has become one of the most popular YouTubers in India. 

Bhadana’s humor videos involve parodies of his friends and relatives and their relationships. He has also published music videos, including a dub of a song by Eminem, and a reply to the song “Hello” by the artist Adele. 

In December 2020, esports and mobile gaming platform Mobile Premier League appointed Bhadana as their brand ambassador.

Bhadana writes and performs his sketches in Hindi, and has a marketing team overseeing his content and working to increase his audience. DNA India included him in a list of the wealthiest Indian YouTubers in 2021.

3. CarryMinati

Ajey Nagar, known as CarryMinati on YouTube, is an Indian YouTuber and streamer. His main channel is full of vlogs, funny videos, and reactions. Other than this, he has a second channel named ‘CarryIsLive’ where he mostly shares gaming content and hosts live streams.

With over 40 million subscribers as of August 2023, he is the most-subscribed individual YouTuber in Asia.

Popularly referred to as CarryMinati, Ajey Nagar is mainly involved in creating Hindi-language roasting and comedy videos, diss songs, and satirical parodies, apart from live gaming.

Nagar began posting videos on YouTube at the age of 10, uploading football tutorial videos on his first YouTube channel STeaLThFeArzZ. The channel was subsequently renamed to CarryMinati. He became the first Indian YouTuber ever to surpass the milestone of 30 million subscribers in May, 2021 and 40 million subscribers in August, 2023. 

Beyond India, he also currently has the highest number of subscribers in the Asia region. In January, 2023 Nagar created another YouTube channel CarryMinati Productions Official, where he uploads vlogs and behind the scenes videos.

Prajakta Koli known for her YouTube Channel MostlySane, is an Indian YouTuber and actress who makes comedy videos. Her videos are focused mostly on observational comedy related to daily life situations. She is also known for her lead role in the Netflix romantic drama Mismatched.

Prajakta Koli began her media career as an intern at Fever 104 FM radio station in Mumbai. While working as an intern, Koli met Sudeep Lahiri – future One Digital Entertainment VP of Content and Strategy, who encouraged her to launch a comedy YouTube channel.

In 2020 she announced the launch of her YouTube Originals show Pretty Fit. The first episode was released on 21 January. In the show, Koli interviews celebrities including Kareena Kapoor, Neha Kakkar, Sanya Malhotra, RJ Malishka, Mithila Palkar and Sumukhi Suresh, who are made to perform various tasks demonstrating physical fitness.

In 2019, Prajakta started a RealTalkTuesday series, an interview series on YouTube where she interviews Bill Gates, Priyanka Chopra, Kajol, Anoushka Shankar and many more celebrity personalities.

5. Tanmay Bhatt

He was the co-founder and former CEO of the creative agency All India Bakchod (AIB) along with Gursimranjet Singh Khamba. In 2018, he was a judge on Season 1 of Comicstaan, a stand-up comedy competition broadcast on Amazon Prime.

In mid-2019 he started the YouTube channel “Tanmay Bhat”, where he posts vlogs, comedy sketches, reaction videos and video essays and streams games such as PUBG Mobile and Among Us.

He has performed at many stand-up comedy shows and was also part of ‘Weirdass Comedy’ founded by comedian Vir Das.

In 2020 Tanmay Bhatt also started a video series of reactions to the memes and videos on his own channel, majorly with his “OG gang” – a group of four people with their own codenames – Aditya Kulshrestha (Writer OP), Nishant Tanwar (Rider OP), Rohan Joshi (Prisoner OP), Zakir Khan(Shayar OP) and Vishal Dayama (Shauhar OP).

Zakir has also been a part of a news comedy show, On Air with AIB. in September 2017, Khan appeared as one of the three mentors along with Mallika Dua and Hussain Dalal for the fifth season of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, judged by actor Akshay Kumar.
